Billing for audiology is a bit different than other specialties! Unlike eye care or dental, hearing benefits are determined by your specific plan and insurance company. Most major insurance companies will provide annual or bi-annual hearing tests; but services such as balance testing, tinnitus treatment, and even hearing aids vary greatly between plans.
We strongly recommend that our patients contact their insurance company directly to verify their hearing benefits prior to their appointment. Every plan is different, so speaking to your insurance company about the specifics is the best way to ensure and understand your coverage level.
